Update 6/28/09
Written by Mike Schaub
Sunday, 28 June 2009

We continue to work on new material and learn new covers. Shows have been slow going, but we're lazy like that. Any way, we hope to see you at the 7/11 show at The Hitching Post.

You can also follow the band on TWITTER (skifman).

So it's been a while, but I'm going to keep this short anyway. The band is working on new material, new covers, an all-new setlist, the finishing touches on a live album, a re-release of "evolve/devolve", All this with a layoff, an eviction, and a divorce happening. We won't have another show untill MAY 23RD AT THE HITCHING POST, so until then we have work to do.

And when we come back, we will be ready to destroy you all.

Thanks to everyone who made the Halloween show at Top Stick on 11/1. It was a fun, emotional night for us as we said goodbye to Merrick. We had some technical difficulties and drunkeness, but what SKIF show doesn't? Bill had a great show, despite him not being able to hear the band. We pulled it off, and everyone had a great time.

Bill's first official show at the Hitching Post on 12/13 went awesome. He played an almost flawless show, and the band couldn't be more confident in our future. Running new sound equipment that sounded great, we had a great time and a good crowd despite the crummy weather. Thanks to Ben Frost for the help with sound.

Over the next few months we will be learning new covers, writing new material, and playing shows as often as we can. KEEP ON THE LOOKOUT FOR A POSSIBLE NEW YEAR'S SHOW AT THE 4 MILE HOUSE. Nothing is definite, but it's in the works.
